lost in bluein early may, a powerful solar storm hit the earth, resulting in the northern lights being visible in places no one had ever imagined.
my roommate and I are lucky to be living near the canadian rockies, so we decided to drive to the mountains the same evening. the lights began their show just as we reached lake minnewanka. in awe, we lay on the ground for over an hour, lost in blue, green, and magenta. with my airpods on, I drowned out the noise from other tourists flocking the lake, finding peace as I took it all in.
